About

It seems like it was a lifetime ago that I first found photography and I did so in unusual circumstances which I remember very well! It was in 2008 while I was working as a Police Officer for Thames Valley Police, a career that I am very proud of.  I was placed on a surveillance course and part of that course was a very brief introduction to photography, in fact, it was probably less than a page of text.  After reading, I immediately wanted to learn more,  and from that moment I become very passionate about learning and crafting my skills as a photographer.

My first paid photography job was for a chain of local nursery schools, that were looking for more creative end of term photo’s. This was a great way to think outside the box.  Here are a few examples:

In my spare time, I started travel and wildlife photography which is something I still enjoy today here is a link to my work.

In 2019 I took my first steps into a full-time career in product photography working for a London-based studio with a mixture of clients from Jewellery and fashion to manufacturing and science labs. The range of the products was great to learn and overcome the problems and challenges for each industry. We also offered 360 html spins/videos and more creative ways to show products. I became the lead photographer for this type of work.

This leads me to today, where I can say I am very proud to offer my services to you as a photographer with my own studio space called Inertia Images.

Personal Life

My best friend and partner is Becky who is my rock. we also have two rescue dogs a Pomeranian called Arlo who is a boy but looks like a girl and Bonnie a Jug who is a girl but looks like a boy.

I am very proud to be the co-founder of Mindsnaps, which is run by myself and Steve Rose a local psychotherapist. Mindsnaps now also offers courses to schools, universities, workplaces, and groups and is designed to make mental wellness and emotions easier to talk about with the use of photography.
